Lynn started off her career as a professional Actress.  She graduated from East 15 Acting School in London with a BA in Acting and she has worked in theatre, television, film and voice-overs.

After sustaining a few injuries, she decided to retrain first as a teacher of The Alexander Technique and then Pilates (both Matwork and Studio Equipment), Stretch Therapy, Personal Training, Slings Myofascial, Mindfulness Meditation and becoming a Nutrition Advisor followed very naturally.

After learning about the risks of low bone density (Osteopenia / Osteoporosis) whilst on a Pilates for Bone Health course, Lynn realised her own bones could be at risk from various factors, so she set to work in order to strengthen her own skeleton and managed to improve her bone density from Osteopenia back to normal.  This developed a passion in Lynn for helping clients who have diagnosed bone health conditions like Osteoporosis or Osteopenia or anyone who wants to prevent having low bone density in the future.   (It's a silent disease, so most people won't know they have it until it's too late and a fracture occurs).

She is also very keen to help clients who have diagnosed back conditions or chronic back pain.  She believes that gentle and specific Pilates Back4Good exercises with a focus on alignment are the key to regaining mobility and the confidence to move again.  Once trust is established, the work can begin to help clients develop more body awareness, strength, stamina, flexibility & teach them how use themselves most efficiently during daily activities.

She verified in her own body, that to improve bone density, it required several modalities and that is why she studied and qualified in many different disciplines in order to offer clients a well-rounded and targeted approach for improving bone health.  Here are the techniques she draws upon to create bespoke lessons for each client:

* Pilates for breathing, body awareness, posture, balance, core connection, strength, mobility of the joints and spine & improving flexibility in a dynamic way.

* Personal training for client specific impact exercise i.e. (low, medium or high intensity) and strength training to help build muscle (hypertrophy) and strengthen bone.  Cardiovascular exercise and speed / agility exercises can be used where appropriate.

* Stretch Therapy and Slings Myofascial are two techniques that give Lynn an excellent range of dynamic and static stretching exercises and movement sequences in order to mobilise fascia, increase range of movement and stretch tight muscles as a way to warm up the body, prevent injuries and cool down after a session.

* Alexander Technique for developing a more heightened body awareness, posture, breath & it offers tools for how to use yourself during all daily activities with ease and efficiency.

* Mindfulness Meditation to return the body to a calm parasympathetic state where the whole self can relax, recover and it can allow the client to develop more positive emotional states / compassion for self and others and reach that quiet place within.

* Nutrition to ensure the body and brain is fed and nourished the correct nutrients to support energy, hormones, muscle & bone growth.

She combines these various techniques as well as suggesting lifestyle changes in order to help each client reach their goals and achieve their full potential.
